Organize!
We are not organized wealth, we are organized labor - our political power comes from our ability to organize people at the grassroots. That is the core of our political program. Our biggest impact will come from good old fashioned organizing, educating people and mobilizing them for action.

Organizing is building and wielding power by connecting, people, resources and ideas. Organizing is about connecting and institutionalizing these networks of people, resources and ideas in a coherent whole so that in aggregate, these can be more powerful as organized than any could be alone.
Organizing at the grassroots in our political program is about connecting activists and voters, communicating ideas about policy and candidates, using the resources of our union.
The best part about grassroots organizing is that anyone can do it -- and everyone should. We need you to get involved -- so sign up today and one of our core organizers will follow up with you right away.
Activate!
To find out actions in which we are participating and when as well as to learn about upcoming events, you can find out on our action page.
Engaging people actively and directly is proven to be the most successful way to organize and successfully build power. The main way in which we'll engage in this education and invitation to action will be individual contact. Our political organizing program is about educating fellow members about what's going on, what's at stake, and what kind of meaningful action can be taken. No matter the context, in our political program this combination of education leading to activation will be present.
Get Invovled, Learn More, Make An Impacts
We have a political organizing plan for this election cycle - much too much to simply cover on a website. The best way to understand what we're doing is to get involved through action and learn the strategy and tactics involved.
You can see what's coming up soon on our action page, or you can contact our political organizer and Political Education Committee chair Peter Rickman.
