Background

The Teaching Assistants Association is a progressive labor union that includes graduate student workers. The labor movement of which we are a part is based upon principles of solidarity with other workers and collective power that is built democratically within and between unions. Our politics follow from this, with a philosophical and ideological underpinning based upon a progressive labor union of graduate student workers. Our political action follows from our politics by working through the democratic process to actualize and realize our principles.
