Our Structure

The TAA political program is built around a few institutional structures. The TAA PAC is our political action committee, the funding for our direct political action. The TAA Democracy Fund is our issue education fund. The TAA Political Education Committee, or "PEC" (pronounced "peck") is the governing body for each of these.

TAA PAC

The TAA PAC is funded through voluntary membership contributions. The TAA PAC is "hard money," which means that it is how we contribute directly to candidates who we have endorsed or communicate with the public about candidates or issues. The TAA PAC is governed by our TAA PEC. We need you to be a donor to help us build our political program and move a progressive agenda. To become a donor to the TAA PAC, please contact PEC chair Peter Rickman and you can make a secure online contribution at ActBlue.

TAA Democracy Fund

The TAA Democracy Fund, like the TAA PAC, is funded through voluntary membership contributions. The TAA "DF" is for purposes of educating our members about particular issues. The TAA Democracy Fund is governed by our PEC. To become a donor to the TAA DF, please contact PEC chair Peter Rickman.

TAA Political Education Committee

The TAA Political Education Committee, or PEC, is the governing body for our political program. The PEC sets direction - and ensures that strategic plans are carried out. The PEC vets candidates and recommends endorsements to the membership - and then writes out the checks. The PEC is the leadership that makes our political program successful.
